Sausage Gravy Bread Pudding


Okay these idea came from a friend of mine,  he didn't like the Pumpkin Cheesecake Bread Pudding recipe and jokingly said Could you make Sausage Gravy Bread Pudding?   Well the wheels in my brain began thinking of how to pull this off.    So here goes.

Recipe:

1 and 1/2 cups of sausage gravy,  you can find recipe in past posts.

6 slices of brioche bread cut into 1 inch pieces

4 eggs 

1/3 cup half and half

Salt and pepper to taste 

A pinch of ground red pepper

A pinch of onion powder 


Spray pie dish with Pam,  add cut up bread.  Mix eggs with milk and spices.    Pour of bread and let it soak up for about 15 minutes.   With a large spoon make divots see picture below in the soaked bread.  When sausage gravy is good and thick spoon into the open spaces.  Bake in 350 oven for 20 minutes,  remove and sprinkle shredded cheese of your choice and return to oven until cheese melts...  yummy



Fresh out of oven!!
